As vrea sa discutam mai mult despre noul vostru album si despre faptul ca anul acesta singurul loc in afara Rusiei unde veti concerta este tara noastra.

01 Ne puteti impartasi cateva detalii despre noul vostru disc “Poverty”.
Buna Andrei! Albumul va avea 9 cantece si Talitres (casa de discuri) le va lansa pe vinil, cd si caseta, va fi o coperta alb-negru simpla, iar toate cantecele au fost inregistrate in Rostov-pe-Don in perioada septembrie-octombrie 2014.

02 Cum veti promova acest album? Ce se intampla cu Motorama in 2015?
We have some dates in the beginning of 2015 in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany and South America.

04 Am observant ca aveti numai cinci concerte in Rusia si doua in Romania anul acesta.

In ce masura v-a inspirat?

06 Cum va incadrati in scena muzicala ruseasca?

Motoram are pareri politice, atat in legatura cu trecutul cat si prezentul? Aveti o viziune politica macar?

Mie imi place ceaiul.

As alege oricand dansul unui betiv care are un stil unic.
Multumesc frumos! Noroc si ne vedem curand in Club Control in Bucuresti!

Hello good people of Motorama! Really happy about meeting ya! My name is Andy and I speak on behalf of a Romanian radio station called EclecticFM. We’re on a constant race in promoting new talented bands and attitudes just like Motorama is. I’d like to talk to you exclusively about your new record, and the amazing thing that this year, the only place outside Russia where you are promoting it is our country.

01 Can you share with us please some of the insights of your new record “Poverty”. The concept behind, if there is one, the art, the recording sessions.
Hello, Andy! Album will consist of 9 new songs and Talitres will release them on vinyls, cds and cassettes, there’s gonna be a black and white sleeve, all songs were recorded in Rostov-on-Don in September-October 2014.

02 How about the promotion? What will happen with Motorama in 2015?
We have some dates in the beginning of 2015 in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany and South America.

03 Can you tell us a little about working with a French label like Talitre? How do you guys feel about the evolution of music formats, about the rise of the vinyl LP especially?
Everything is great with Talitres, we do music, they release it and help us with the concerts. LP is definitely a great format for music, it’s our favorite one.

04 I’ve seen you’ve got five dates in Russia and two in Romania this year. Why offer us such a privilege of seeing you guys play your latest record? Not that we’re not honored .
We are going to play only three or four new songs, we still have a bunch of tracks from «Alps» and «Calendar». We will play all songs from the next record only in 2015 after the release.

05 I wanted to talk to you about one of your inspirations, Lee Hazlewood, actually one of my favorite American composers & singer-songwriters as well . What song of yours has he inspired?
I don’t know exactly but I feel his influence in some way, I’m very into «Requiem for an Almost Lady» and «Nancy and Lee» albums.

06 How do you fit in the Russian music scene? I’ve managed to explore a little bit of your local reggae and electronic music scene. Listened to a lot Russian classical music, but how’s the indie, post-punk movement doing?
We used to have some good bands, but most of them are from 80’s and 90’s. We are not interested in modern Russian indie scene. It’s too pretentious and overproduced.

07 What wisdom can you share with us now on your third LP already? What makes “Poverty” different from “Alps” & “Calendar”? I can definitely sense more Kraftwerk in there.
It’s better to wait on it and you will check it by yourself and you will tell me what you think about it. I have some thoughts about the album but I don’t want to share them. I’m interested in different opinions and feelings from other people.

08 Lots of people consider our nations related because of the fact we’re almost neighbors and our political past. How Motorama’s view on that? How does Motorama approach politics, both past and present? Does it approach it at all?
We are not interested in politics as a band. We have different personal thoughts and it’s better to keep them to ourselves.

09 What’s your favorite drink people?
I like tea.

10 This being an eclectic interview how about your favorite dance? (Any Gangnam Style fans?) And last, but not least, how do you feel about ballet?
I don’t like Gangnam Style because of it’s horse riding thing. I will chose drunk dancers with their own style.
Thank you very much! Cheers and see you guys soon in Club Control in Bucharest!
